ABOUT ABOUT

Canstruction is an event where teams through the use of canned food, build structures of all shapes and sizes. The event aids in spotlighting the participants’ creativity as well as their intricate use of engineering and architecture in their design.

The theme for the 2020 Canstruction will be ‘Deep in the Heart of Canstruction’, a Texas-based theme that will allow participants to use their skills as well as convey their love for the Great Lone Star State. The event will be held within Rudder Exhibit Hall, located in Rudder Tower at Texas A&M University, from February 29 - March 3, 2020. After the event, all of the cans will then be donated to Twin City Missions who will distribute them throughout their facilities to aid the underserved population in the Bryan-College Station area with over 50,000 hot meals they prepare each year.

Each team is responsible for a $200 entry fee as well as providing your own cans. However, each team may fundraise and seek out their own sponsorships to aid in the cost of the cans. Once entered, each team will receive an event packet with the team rules and any extra information they may need during the preparation process. Each team will be responsible for submitting and getting a design approved prior to the actual build dates.
